The City reserves the right to remove content from its social media sites that meet any of the following criteria:

• Content that contains abusive, harassing, intimidating, vulgar, obscene, and offensive communications or language
• Content that contains personal attacks, defames, or libels others
• Content that infringes upon the privacy rights of others
• Disparaging content or humor based on race, national origin, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, or any other characteristic protected under federal, state, or local law
• Communications that include any copyrighted materials, trade secrets, proprietary information, or any other highly sensitive, confidential information
• Solicitation of others for commercial ventures or religious, social, or political causes, campaigns, or candidates
• False information
• Content that digresses from the topic being discussed or information that reasonably could compromise an individual’s safety or public safety
• Content that impersonates or misrepresents someone else
• Spam comments, such as posting the same content multiple times on a channel
• Threats

Any participants on the City’s official social media sites who are in continual violation of the posting/commenting guidelines may be permanently banned from the City’s site. Please be aware that all comments are subject to disclosure as public records.
