The Community Development Department oversees the development of the City to ensure an attractive community. The department prepares and administers development codes, coordinates annexation efforts, and enforces uniform building codes by inspecting all public and private construction within the City.

The General Plan, Vista 2030, and the Development Code are a reflection of the community’s vision of how Sierra Vista should strategically grow while preserving its natural environment, signature vistas, and vibrant culture.
